About 18 years ago, I walked into my first New Thought church, the Oneness Center in Fresno, California. The teachings deeply resonated with me, prompting me to take classes and study various influential teachers, including Myrtle Fillmore, one of the founders of Unity. In 2017, I became a licensed practitioner through the Emerson Institute while attending the Spiritual Life Center. After the center closed and the transition of Rev. Kathy Land, I sought a new spiritual home and found it here at Unity, where I have been attending for over a year. I appreciate the warmth, inclusiveness, and commitment of the people who embody the values that Unity espouses.
